OppFilm S.A., part of the Oben Holding Group, and headquartered in Lima, Peru, is broadening their product portfolio by adding biaxially oriented polyester film. During Chinaplas 2012 OPP Film and Brückner Maschinenbau signed a contract for a 8.7m wide high-speed BOPET line with a nameplate capacity of 35,000 MTPA. The line will be equipped with the latest technology for a highly efficient production of flexible packaging, such as Brückner’s unique multi-gap MD stretching, ensuring high speeds and outputs.
Jamil Zaidan, owner of Oben Holding Group says: "We are proud of these continuing advancements in our production capabilities. The superior technology of this new BOPET unit will provide our customers with a highly desirable product, enabling them to gain more market share.” The company will offer BOPET films with special treatments, metalized and favorable heat-sealing characteristics
For Brückner Maschinenbau this contract is another milestone within the long-lasting, prosperous partnership. Several high performance Brückner BOPP lines are already producing at OPP Film, plus a high-speed CPP line which will be followed by a second one, an exceptional 6.2m wide one, later this year. The new BOPET line is a perfect completion and will further contribute to strengthen OPP Film’s good position in the Americas film industry.
Right before Chinaplas OPP Film added another Brückner 8.7m wide high speed BOPP line to their train of film production machines. It was part of a double investment, line number one went on stream in November 2011.
Oben Holding Group is the leading manufacturer of BOPP and CPP films in Latin America with a total yearly capacity of more than 200,000 tons PP film.
