Fourth joint project further underlines the fruitful co-operation with Brückner
Gulf Packaging Industries Ltd. has launched their next expansion phase for the production of high-value BOPP packaging film. The company’s new production line in Jubail Industrial City secures an additional production capacity of 37,000 tons/year. This fourth joint project with Brückner Maschinenbau is a superb demonstration of the close and long lasting relations between the two companies.

With a total annual production capacity of 76,000 tons of BOPP film, Gulf Packaging is firmly responding to the increased demand in the local as well as export markets.
To cover the increasing demand for value added film Gulf Packaging will also add a high performance metallizer (the most powerful in the region so far). With this expansion Gulf Packaging will increase the capacity of metallized film from 5,000 t/y to 12,000 t/y.
President Ali Hassan Al Jameel announces that Gulf Packaging’s expansion strategy will lead to an output capacity of more than 100,000 tons/year by the end of 2011. He confirms that Gulf Packaging has acquired 100,000 sqm land in a Western province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for even further expansion of the company’s BOPP film production.
Gulf Packaging Industries Ltd., member of Al Rajhi Investment Group for Industrial Investment, was established in 1990 as the first producer of BOPP film in the Arabian Gulf Region. Presently Gulf Packaging exports 60 % of its production to 27 regions covering the Indian sub-continent, North and South Africa, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East and Gulf Cooperative Countries.
