Host country Vietnam the perfect setting for networking across the BO industry
Since 2008, the Brückner Asia Symposium has been an integral part of the Asian BO community's calendar of events. The seventh edition recently took place in Da Nang, Vietnam, with almost 50 participants from China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.
South-East Asian film producers and converters turned the spotlights on the demands of a growing population in the entire region and discussed market opportunities as well as future prospects – and how sustainability issues are influencing all this. Experts from institutions such as “German Trade & Invest Vietnam” or the “Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam” gave an insight in the country’s economic development, the manufacturing facilities or the factors for investing, and also regional investment trends in this emerging market.
The whole event was rounded off by latest developments in the BO industry: the role of traditional raw materials, the use of recyclates and biomaterials – and of course the corresponding technological solutions of Brückner Maschinenbau and Brückner Servtec. All in all, there was plenty to discuss.
And that's what the Brückner Asia symposium is all about, perhaps even first and foremost: making and deepening contacts, exchanging ideas, collecting suggestions and finding solutions. The very positive response from the participants also made one thing very clear: this series of events must be continued! We are happy to hear that and are already thinking about it...
