China New Plas: Brückner booth awarded, live stream to German headquarters in great demand
Over last few years, China New Plas has becoming one of China’s most important exhibitions for the plastics industry. This year it took place November 03 – 05 at the new fantastic Nanjing International Exhibition Center, and is the only large exhibition for plastic industry in 2020 due to the challenging Covid-19 pandemic. For the fourth time China Plastic Processing Industry Association (CPPIA) organized the event quite excellent. Brückner has been participating since the very first China New Plas and was also this time impressed of the very high level of the discussions with the visitors at the always well-attended booth.
As Brückner representatives from Germany could not travel to China due to the current Covid-19 situation, they supported their colleagues from Brückner China via a professional live stream to the German headquarters. Customers appreciated this opportunity very much and so numerous technical and commercial expert talks have taken place – and the distance of the discussion participants no longer played a role.
In the focus of the discussions: Highly efficient film stretching lines for the production of BOPP and BOPET films. The latter not only for packaging applications but also for technical purposes, such as optical films, high temperature applications or protection films. Reinhard Priller, Maschinenbau’s Sales Director made yet another interesting observation: “Sustainability and recycling are more and more ‘hot topics’ in China. At China New Plas many customers therefore asked for our brand-new line concepts for mono-material BOPE film. Especially our hybrid concepts aroused the greatest interest – they are ideal for an emerging market such as the BOPE market.” The service specialists from Brückner Servtec also had a top subject: Digitalisation and the “Brückner ONE” system, a digital service platform, supporting all matters of the line and its operation – to make film producer’s life easier.
Despite today’s increasing “virtualization” China New Plas made clear that a traditional trade show is still “something else”. Knowing this, Brückner showed the same care as always when it came to exhibition presence. Reward for the efforts: The “Outstanding Exhibitor Award”. Reinhard Priller: “Thanks to the organizers for this award, it is a great honor for us. Another big thanks goes out to our customers who visited us, thanks also to the supports and preparation work from colleagues in Hong Kong and our Chines colleagues present in Nanjing and thanks to our staff here in Germany for their “virtual presence”, partly even at night sleep time, due to the time difference. This is truly an exhibition with international team work cooperation spirits. We all hope that in 2022 we will be able to attend personally the important plastic events again.”
